  • Business Development Manager required for a satellite role in within in the South West and South Wales Region. This company are a leading housing regeneration group have established a strong track record in both social housing refurbishment and new build work They are one of the most successful players in its chosen field of affordable housing. There is still not enough social housing to meet demand and the government remains committed to building more affordable housing and improving the existing stock. They are well positioned within a relatively buoyant market, where public funds continue to be committed. The purpose of this role is to promote their business and generate sales. You will create business strategies, undertake relevant market research, build sustainable relationships with Customers liaising with them at all times, track enquiries and ultimately win work. The pay scale for this role is up to £45,000 and will include a competitive package with a generous bonus scheme.   • Customer Care Manager working for one of the Industry’s Top 10 Contractor in the Midlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering Post Contract Services to their customers, sharing information gained with site teams and close out the issues that are raised at the end of the Defect Liability Period. This role will cover a wide range of construction sectors to include Prisons, Education, Health and Public Sector projects. The role reports to the Construction Manager or Commercial . To be considered for this role you need to have a good understanding of construction technical knowledge and have gained significant years of experience within the industry through project delivery. As the majority of projects are concrete and steel frame structures, candidates with a Civil Engineering degree or extensive experience within these fields will be favoured. Qualifications desired include a HNC Building Studies, Platinum CSCS card and Associate Member CIOB. Salary will range up to £43,000 plus a very competitive package.   • A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Buyer working for a Social Housing contractor in the Midlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Buyer in the procurement process, and providing guidance to departments on matters related to the acquisition of goods and services. This role reports to the Buyer. Key Accountabilities include: • Market Analysis / Intelligence - sourcing, summarising & simple presentation of basic data • Selection of suppliers and subcontractors project based comparison to generate short-list and recommendation • Negotiation of terms and price against targets - conclude terms/SLA and report saving/loss on project by project basis • Understanding of supplier/subcontractor product/service offerings, value engineering and potential interface issues • Understanding and preparing ITT's and suppliers orders for low level low risk transactions • Understanding of Draft Trading / Consultant Agreements • Collate and analyse sub-contractor performance and financial measurement Skills and Capabilities This role requires: • Experience of working in a supply chain environment • Knowledge of supply chain systems • IT Skills - Microsoft suite • Organisation and planning skills • Ability to create presentations • Basic negotiating skills • CIPS or similar (working towards - desirable) • Good microsoft office skills required • Knowledge of basic building materials terminology would be an advantage For more information please contact Sarah Neale direct on 01785 715505 or sarah.neale@psrsolutions.co.uk
