- PFI Bid Manager required by one of the industry’s leading family owned contractors in the UK today.
The appointed candidate will be joining a very successful pre-contract team covering Social Housing new build and refurbishment projects across the West, East and South Midlands.
Working both competitively and in partnership with our key customers the candidate will be responsible all aspects of bid management. Key Accountabilities include:
• Agreement of bid strategy with the Bid Centre Manager
• Management and development of the pre-contract team
• Liaison operational production and commercial functions
• Management of the RIMS database
• Value management to improve bids
• Commercial risk management
• Production of qualitative tender submissions
• Total bid compilation
• Production of tender settlement packs, and presentation at board level
• Post tender client negotiations and presentations
• Pre-contract / post contract lessons learned.
This role requires a strong knowledge of:
• Public sector procurement
• PFI procurement
• Bid process management
• Quality led tender submissions
• Risk analysis
• Bidding best practice
• Construction materials, methods and technology
• Health and safety and environmental legislation and issues.
Salary between £55000 and £75000 to include a very competitive benefits package.

Our client is seeking an experienced Bid Manager.
Sectors of work include: Healthcare, Education, Government, Leisure, Commercial and Retail. Project Values would range from £10m to £100m (Frameworks, BSF and PFI values would be larger).
Responsibilities would include: management of the bid process from receipt of tender documents to hand over to the construction team. Lead the tender team at Bidders Conferences, mid term and post tender interviews. Responsible for developing a strategy for winning each bid, production of the bid programme, manage and control all bid documentation and manage all negotiations leading to the contract signing.
The successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate: A proven track record of managing bid processes from start to finish within our key construction sectors : A combination of technical construction knowledge and the ability to present, liaise and negotiate with existing and prospective clients : Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
