Bid Manager required by one of the industry’s leading family owned contractors in the UK today. This is a brand new position within the existing bid team which will see the creation of a new preconstruction team to cover West Midlands new build and refurbishment, East Midlands, South West and South Wales. The core skills needed for this role are knowledge of opportunity and risk management including value creation. Previous ownership and management of a design, planning and estimating team. The ability to present bids for sign off to the main board, deal with any settlements which arise and ultimately win work for the business. The desired individual will ultimately be responsible for a £60m business unit. Projects are a mixture of PFI extra care homes, new build social housing up to and over 200 units and decent home framework contracts. As this is for a social housing contractor, only candidates with a social housing background will be considered. Also, experience of PFI projects would be advantage. If you can demonstrate preconstruction and experience of the core skills mentioned above then this could be a very good opportunity for the right person.
