Senior Quantity Surveyor required for a Social Housing division of a main contractor based in Birmingham.This division has been given a lot of attention from the start of 2010.The Chief Executive has invested a lot of time and money into marketing and business developing this team to maximise on their business opportunities moving forward.
You will be supporting the Commercial Manager with all budgetary and financial matters aswell as mentoring five other surveyors in the team.
Duties to include:
·establish site budgets based on original feasibilities and on the bespoke design of the units and sites;
·completion of contract documents;
·subcontract procurement and buying of all packages;
·raising of interim applications;
·cost reporting to the client, including raising and evaluating all contractor variations through to the agreement of final account statements.
This Contractor specifically needs individuals from a social housing background because of the nature of their business.The types of projects include care homes, affordable housing units and mixed tenure developments.Also previous managerial experience is a must.
Salary is negotiable but the maximum range is £40,000.
