Estimator required for a Social Housing decent homes contractor based in Birmingham. This is a family owned contractor formed in 1892 and still have an ever-present in and around the East & West Midlands.
The majority of their workload is within the decent homes so candidates with this experience would be desired. They wouldn’t however discount social housing new build experience preferably with another social housing contractor.
Duties:
• Liaison with design, planning, production and commercial functions
• Preparation of a true net build cost
• Cost planning
• Pre-contract input of supply chain
• Management of RIMS database
• Value management to improve bids
• Commercial risk management
• Pre-contract / post contract lessons learned.
