The Group has been providing affordable homes for more than 30 years and include mixed tenure, development of community facilities such as hostels and temporary housing and student housing.
Their portfolio of Clients range from NHS Trusts to RSLs to Private development companies all for whom have been able to complete highly successful schemes.
Duties:
• Liaison with design, planning, production and commercial functions
• Preparation of a true net build cost
• Cost planning
• Pre-contract input of supply chain
• Management of RIMS database
• Value management to improve bids
• Commercial risk management
• Pre-contract / post contract lessons learned.
There are some bid management skills required for this role:
• Management and development of the pre-contract team
• Liaison operational production and commercial functions
• Production of tender settlement packs, and presentation at board level
• Post tender client negotiations and presentations

- Building Magazine’s major contractor of the year and one of the largest family owned construction company in the UK are seeking two Project Managers and ten Site Managers for a £23m refurbishment project to a School in the Bedfordshire area.There are a variety of Education schemes in and around Bedfordshire which are all refurbishment projects. They are looking to appoint ASAP.
This client has in excess of four years worth of work refurbishing over thirteen secondary schools in and around the area.As well as education facilities this client will also deliver community regeneration.
Key Accountabilities include:
•Using leadership skills to ensure a zero incident health & safety culture, implementing all regulatory health & safety
•Supporting and encouraging the development of team members, motivating them to meet objectives
•Delivering the project or scheme to the agreed returns, to budget, both safely and on time
•Ensuring that all contract administration / procedures are undertaken
•Controlling and managing project / site budgets including profit and loss, and managing budget constraints
•Implementing detailed programmes which allow accurate monitoring and reporting
•Managing site logistics and communication plan
Please note there are very strict requirements for this role and to be considered it is vital that you have a proven track record of delivering projects in excess of £15 million as a number one Project Manager within the Education sector on Schools / Universities / Academies etc
As the projects are all refurbishment in occupied environments candidates must have cut and carve experience otherwise they will not be considered. There are no exceptions; refurbishment in other sectors will not be suitable it must be within schools. New Build education experience will also not be considered.
