- Senior Project Manager required to take full responsibility for one or several projects, with each project being up to value of circa. £15 million, including management of the Client, Consultants and Stakeholders, in close liaison with the Contracts Manager. Duties Pre Construction • Assist the Estimators or Bid Managers on all aspects of the tender but in particular to advise on construction methodology, programming and staffing. • Assist in the preparation of submission/presentation documentation • To arrange and attend site visits as necessary • Attend pre / mid / post tender interviews as necessary Duties Construction • Be the team leader and develop a successful team ethic on site. Ensuring that all team members are advised of their roles and responsibilities • Responsible for the production of the Contract Programme, the production of short term programmes, as- built programmes and the monitoring of progress by updating programmes as required • Responsible for the resolution of technical problems and ensuring work is carried out to the correct specification and QA standards • To oversee the implementation of the Health & Safety Management System and ensure Health & Safety, Environment legislation is complied with • Ensure completion of “snagging” at handover of the project • Responsible for the rectification of defects and the receipt of the Making Good Defects Certificate. To be considered for this role you need to have experience in defence, healthcare, civils, lifting Regulations, CDM and ISO 9001 is preferred. This regional build contractor have achieved recent success of many academies notably around the Peterborough, Northants and Bedfordshire areas. - Senior Site Manager for site based construction roles in and around the Northamptonshire area. You will be responsible for overseeing the construction phase of each project from commencement to completion and management of the site team. The main purpose of the role is to ensure the safe achievement of programme, quality and budget requirements to meet company objectives, emphasising customer care / focus and business excellence. Ensure the projects are run in accordance with the Group Safety, Health and Environmental Management System Duties: • To plan and co-ordinate both temporary and permanent site set up / compound. • Prepare site target programmes and ensure they are adhered to. • Ensure method statements and risk assessments are in place for every trade prior to their commencement on site. • Prior to site, assist with the compiling of the construction phase, Health, Safety, Waste and Fire Plan. • Ensure the correct level of quality is achieved and maintained at all times. • To participate in the selection and procurement of supply chain (material/sub contractors). • To attend and participate fully in meetings i.e. pre-start, client and site meetings and chair sub-contract meetings as may be called by or with the support of the Company's Construction Director/Area Construction Manager. • When required, to monitor/supervise the construction of the roads/sewers and mains laying, completing any relevant legislation. • Ensure accurate records are maintained and reported on in line with the requirements set by the Construction Director. • To co-ordinate and manage all directly employed staff and sub-contractors to enable production objectives to be achieved. • Assist with the compiling of the O&M, Health and Safety Manuals and Tenant Manuals at the end of the project. • Liaise with Technical, Surveying, Procurement and Safety Departments. • Management and welfare of site team and any agency staff employed on our projects.
