Senior Quantity Surveyor required for a family owned contractor based in the Midlands. This is to work for the Social Housing division covering Decent Homes and property repairs / maintenance. This business unit operates on project ranging from £50k to £3m in value.

This contractor have been very successful on some key framework agreements which can guarantee work for the next three to five years. The theme to these frameworks are all property repairs so applicants with ‘Decent Homes’ experience across all sectors including kitchen, bathroom, all external works including EWI, RFS and Landscaping.

This is a head office based role with approx 2 days travel to site each week. Role is to oversee and mange (pre and post contract) commercial and contractual issues on varying projects as directed.

You will be undertaking commercial risk management and change control management to ensure the company’s interests are protected at all times.

To be considered for this role you need to
• Have a track record in commercial management from within a recognised contractor, leading the surveying function.
• Experience of decent homes and DDA Contracting
• Be a competent negotiator who is able to agree profitable rates and contracts without comprising company margins
• Demonstrate a high level of technical competence combines with commercial awareness and understanding
