- Contracts Manager required for new build Social Housing projects around the West Midlands. These developments typically will include Extra Care schemes for Housing 21 and Midland Heart and various new build social housing developments up to and beyond 100 units.
You will be responsible for a team of site and project managers, planning, managing and controling contracts within budgeted cost in accordance with contract documents and company policies and procedures.
This is one of the industry’s leading social housing and regeneration contractor. They have experienced a healthy turnover of £420 million through long-term partnering framework deals with both existing and new clients. The division has a forward order book of £1.5 billion going into 2010.
To be considered for this role you need to have previous experience as a Contracts Manager preferably developing into the role from a Site / Project Manager. As this is a social housing contractor, social housing new build experience is a must.

- Project quantity surveyor required for two new build Hospitals in the Gloucestershire area.These projects are both design and build and valued at £5.5m each.You will be responsible for all commercial functions related to this project reporting to a Commercial Manager.
This role requires:
·A strong knowledge of construction methods and technology, measurement and valuation and administration of contract methods
·A strong knowledge of subcontract /materials orders and buying
·Knowledge of various obligations under the contract
·Knowledge of claims, loss and expense
·Ability to form and develop relationships with PQS, design team and supply chain
·Commercial skills, maximising value recovery, cost control and cash management
·Good interpersonal skills - ability to work effectively with site management and the rest of the team
·Ability to use / understand financial reports and final accounts
·Knowledge of D & B contracts would be an advantage
The company in question is a main contractor who specialise in new build developments within the Education, Health and Residential sector of Construction.They’re looking for candidates who are qualified to BSc Hons level and have previous site based experience as a number one Surveyor.
