My client has over 30 years' experience in the construction industry and are specialists in the field of construction, structural repair, restoration, refurbishments and dilapidation. They have built their business on trust, reliability and professionalism. They value both their staff and clients, resulting in a vast amount of their work coming from repeat business and a high staff retention. Over the past 10 years they have steadily grown their company by 10% per year and are on target for their projected turnover over £12 million. Due to this expansion, they are in the market for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team and work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Based in the Midlands office you will be reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and be responsible for providing assistance on several projects nationwide. You will be expected to travel to sites across the UK and work with key current clients and maintain the very high standards of customer experience.

Other duties involve;
  • Assisting with the procurement,
  • Assisting with preparing and reviewing subcontract tenders
  • Helping to manage the subcontractor's work throughout the project
  • Assisting with generating valuations for the work done to date, and overseeing payments.
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Establish clients requirements
  • Closing final accounts



Skills and Experience:
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in a Surveying role
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the construction industry
  • Strong, down to earth work ethic with a reliable nature
  • An eye for detail and quality of finish is essential
  • You will be able to hit the ground running
  • You will be an ambitious individual, take pride in what you produce and have good communication and organisation skills.
