Are you an experienced Bid Manager, looking for your next move? Or are you a Bid Writer, interested in progression and becoming a Bid Manager? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.

I am currently recruiting for a Bid Manager to join my Client in their Regional Office in Birmingham. My Client is a well known Main Contractor, who operate from a number of Regional Offices. Their turnover is over £700m, working in a vast amount of sectors including Health, Education and Student Accommodation.

The role will be bidding and winning Construction Framework tenders. The potential of these Frameworks will be up to £2bn, running over 4 years. The role will be working with a team of commercial, technical and operational staff, managing bids from pre-bid planning through to contract award. With successful Frameworks, you may be required to support operational teams to win individual projects on the Framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Organising and leading bid strategy meetings, developing bid plans
  • Formulating bid programmes
  • Leading the bid management process
  • Formulating and developing alternative bid proposals e.g. value engineering
  • Input into the planning and programming and the development of construction methodologies
  • Preparing presentations and attending interviews
  • Supervision of graphic designers / bid coordinators

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable of the public sector, enthusiastic and a good understanding of the construction design and procurement process.
