Job description

Due to planned, strategic growth, my client is looking to make a new senior appointment. They are looking to appoint an experienced Bid Manager.

The company are a top 10 UK contractor who operating through a series of both regional and specialist offices. The Midlands Team, based in Birmingham, with highly accessible offices have a strong foothold within the Birmingham and greater West Midlands Construction arena.

The business operates across all the building sectors such as; Health, Education, Commercial, Hotel, Leisure and Retail and within other specialist sectors including complex manufacturing and custodial. Projects delivered can range in value from £10M to in excess £100M

The business is looking to appoint a Bid Manager who shares their passion and professionalism.

Responsibilities would include: management and leadership of the bid process from receipt of tender documents to hand over to the construction team.

Lead the tender team at Bidders Conferences, mid-term and post tender interviews. Take on the responsibility for developing a strategy for winning each bid, production of the bid programme, manage and control all bid documentation and manage all negotiations leading to the contract signing.

Applicants will hold a proven track record in managing the full bid process, hold strong technical construction knowledge and have the skill to present, negotiate and liaise with existing and new clients.
