An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bid Writer to join an extremely successful privately owned Main Building Contractor.

The pre-construction team is a busy and very successful department, they work on a diverse range of projects from £1m to £20m utilising all methods of construction and cutting-edge IT to give the client more of what they want and at a more competitive price, culminating in a win ratio of 1 in 3. They are a profitable, growing business with repeat clients stretching back over 50 years.

The role is writing and coordinating the Bid, from evaluating the initial enquiry with the head of estimating and getting it onto the system to going with the bid team to meet the client with the final bid.

The key to being a good Bid Writer is the use of your imagination and ability to articulate your ideas but is also down to your ability to build relationships, both internally with the estimator, the design team, commercial team and operational leads in the business, you will also be responsible for dealing with the client's representatives and the subcontractors tendering for work on the project.


We are looking for somebody with experience of working in the estimating/ pre-construction team working on bids for projects in the construction industry.
