The Role

You'll be working as part of the Commercial Preconstruction team and will produce high quality and professionally written content for prequalification and tender submissions. The role will see you communicating closely with team members across the organisation to obtain information for bid inputs. Naturally, you'll be an enthusiastic and committed individual, someone who is well organised with a drive for writing bid-winning documentation.


Duties

  • To liaise effectively and work closely with all members of the regional bid teams, Procurement, Commercial, Technical, Support Services and the wider business to provide effective bid writing services and technical solutions for allocated opportunities.
  • To support the Senior Bid Writers and Bid Managers in improving bid management processes and challenging existing practices.
  • To demonstrate appropriate experience, training and qualifications for the post and to maintain an up to date awareness of activities and standards within Colas' business sectors.
  • To carry out all duties and responsibilities in a manner that supports the Company Vision Mission and Values

Experience & Skillset

  • Good experience of producing and editing written content for prequalification and tender submissions in the construction/civil engineering sectors or related industries.
  • Understanding of operational and technical issues/considerations to allow the compilation of written solutions to support bidding opportunities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of working within the highway and civil engineering.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Flexible working attitude.
