Role: Building Services Manager

Location: Salford

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000



My client, a well-established organisation with a national remit are looking for recruit a Building Services Manager ideally with a Mechanical Bias to join their loyal team. This business is a top tier contractor with an office based in Salford, Greater Manchester which they are looking to recruit from.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on remarkable projects which span across the UK and Europe. You will be required to oversee all aspect of M&E services during tender, pre-construction, construction and commissioning stages. Reporting into a Senior Building Services Manager and liaising closely with the appointed Project Manager.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Preconstruction responsibilities to include vetting of sub-contractors tender documents against ER's
  • Analysis and Management of team resources
  • Responsibility for Health & Safety in line with BAM Polices
  • Project Planning in conjunction with Project Planner and Project Manager
  • Prepare and manage the sites 'Project Management Plan'
  • Monitor and Review sub-contractors against pre-construction/ Installation programmes
  • Provide written monthly report to Project Manager
  • Chair progress meeting with principle sub-contractors
  • Manage and maintain records of all sub-contractors working drawings
  • Manage requests for information
  • Manage a Site diary
  • Carry out quality control inspections for entire service installation
  • Ensure testing and commissioning is carried out and witness accordingly
  • Ensure 'as installed drawing' and O&M Manual are completed and issued
  • Operate systems and procedures in line with BAM standard protocol
  • Management of projects defects/ aftercare
