Assistant Site Manager Role Overview:

As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Site Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of our industrial project in Wolverhampton. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum and the opportunity to grow with our dynamic company.

Assistant Site Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager in day-to-day site operations and management.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Site Manager.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support the implementation of quality control measures and ensure adherence to project standards.
  • Participate in site meetings and contribute to the development of project plans and strategies.

Assistant Site Manager Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably on industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field are desirable.
