Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor - Mixed-Use & Multi-Media Projects (PCSA/Pre-Con Focus)
Location: Manchester
Contract: Freelance / Outside IR35 Ltd Company or PAYE only.
Rate: Competitive Daily Rate (DOE)
We're seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong track record in pre-construction services agreements (PCSA) to join a high-profile mixed-use development project that includes multi-media and commercial space. This freelance opportunity is ideal for a commercially astute QS who thrives in early-stage project planning, procurement strategy, and front-end cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cost planning and procurement strategy during PCSA phase
- Liaise with design, planning, and commercial teams to ensure cost-effective development
- Provide detailed cost reports, risk assessments, and value engineering input
- Prepare tender packages and negotiate early trade contracts
- Interface with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior QS on mixed-use or media/commercial developments
- Strong background in pre-construction / PCSA stages
- Able to work independently and integrate with a wider project team
- Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts
- Immediate availability preferred
