Job description

A well established market leading client of PSR's are currently looking to employ an experienced Business Development Manager to join their company on a salary basis.

This opportunity will provide the successful candidate to work on a variety of projects, ranging in value and complexity. Will be a vital part in influencing work and will be given opportunities to progress further within the business.

* Production of marketing strategies in conjunction with the Directors; the development, implementation and delivery of such strategies

* The establishment and development of good working relations with the existing client base of H&P and the formation of equally good relations with new clients and businesses (including subcontractors, consultants, local authorities, trade bodies and contracts commensurate with the property and construction industry)

* Raising the Company's profile and reputation within the industry and establishing a brand awareness within the defined geographical area of operations

* Ensure the Company brand profile, capability and expertise is maintained across the region with new and existing clients

* The creation of opportunities for tendering, negotiations and partnering in relation to construction projects across the business

* Identification of joint venture and partnering opportunities with external organisations which provide the Company with short, medium and long term opportunities

* The establishment, maintenance and development of a marketing database

* The development and production of Company literature, newsletters, website content and other marketing and supporting literature used within the business development and construction bids

* Representing the Company in a positive manner at seminars, forums, meetings, presentations and other events with the aim of achieving the points above

* The production and submission of regular updates and reports to the Directors, including the establishment, maintenance and development of monitoring and tracking systems. Frequency of such reports to be determined by the Directors

* Training and mentoring of junior and trainee members of staff as required

* Comply with the requirements of the Company H&S manual

* Comply with the requirements of the Company Quality Management system

* Carry out any reasonable instruction from a Company Director, Manager or Supervisor


* Experience in similar role

* Good understanding of construction / worked within a construction based company
