Commercial Administrator, Solihull West Midlands

My Client is seeking a Commercial Administrator. The company are a National Building Contractor who work on Commercial, Industrial & Retail Schemes. Project values range from £20m - £90m.

They are seeking a Commercial Administrator to be based in their head office. The company are at the forefront of delivery of large complex projects and they apply an innovative approach, good management and specialist pre-construction skills in order to ensure their success.





Key duties include;
  • Preparing and issue of sub contracts. (Site QS Team collate and produce "technical" elements)
  • Recording issue, receipt, and signing of sub contracts on tracker document
  • Recording warranty tracker, issue, signing, returns
  • Ensure comparisons are completed & check for compliance for issue to Directors for approval
  • Ensure any proposed supply chain are approved
  • Track Sub contracts to ensure no one commences on site without approval.
  • Ensure Order Approval are signed before orders are issued
  • Check SC insurances are correct before order place
  • Manage old project retentions and payments
  • Record NTC for each project
  • Commercial archive filing
  • Overhead reporting, Hotel and Train bookings, record and report
  • Assist in compiling monthly commercial reports
  • Forecast meetings, ensure minutes and reports in place for director review
  • Maintain / Setup master file for all PC, MGD Certificates, Final Acct Statement & EOT Certs.
  • O&M Master file locations
  • Main Contract documents, ensure copies maintain for Commercial Director, track original copies
  • Maintain Commercial Director filing.
  • Set up Master file system in office for commercial filing.
  • Commercial assistance on sites as required
  • Assist Commercial Director as required.
  • Manage Commercial Director credit card receipts and returns.
  • Supply chain review against orders placed, update regional supply chain audit, inc approvals etc.
  • Supply chain - compile supply chain information to enable approval onto database.
  • Office Management - manage and procure supply chain to carry out office management duties.
