We're seeking a motivated and detail-driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team delivering high-quality social housing and refurbishment projects across the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, tenders, and valuations for social housing refurbishment and maintenance projects

• Support the commercial team with cost control, reporting, and forecasting activities

• Work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure commercial and contractual compliance

• Help prepare and agree interim and final accounts

• Monitor subcontractor performance, variations, and payments

• Maintain accurate commercial records and ensure projects meet financial targets

About You

• HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or working towards)

• 1-3 years' experience in a construction or social housing environment (placement or graduate experience considered)

• Basic understanding of JCT or NEC contracts

• Strong numeracy, communication, and analytical skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general commercial software

• A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine interest in social housing and community development

• Full UK driving licence
