Assistant Quantity Surveyor

PSR Solutions are working with a market leading client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit a Assistant Quantity Surveyor to Join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role with be based in Cambridgeshire and will involve working within Residential groundworks Projects.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Roles and Responsibilities

• Assisting Surveyors to perform the closeout process, ensuring all contract terms are met and payments are verified.
• Work with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes.
• Ensuring all commercial accountabilities are undertaken in a timely manner, with a high degree of accuracy and measure.
• Assisting Surveyors in preparing and reviewing tenders with estimators and assisting with understanding the client's requirements to offer value engineering.
• Review and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs.
• Undertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Requirements

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course
• Highly computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with large data sets
• Residential Groundworks background Ideally
• Professional membership of appropriate body
• Good data interrogation skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Valid driving licence

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Benefits

• Salary - Circa £35,000 DOE
