Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor looking to make an impact on a landmark residential development in London?

We're working with a leading Tier 1 contractor who is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their UK Build team on a prestigious £150m residential scheme. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-profile project, contributing to its commercial success while working alongside an experienced construction and commercial team.

Key Responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor:

• Support the Senior and Managing QS in implementing commercial strategy
• Prepare tenders, select and negotiate with subcontractors, and manage them through to final account
• Maintain accurate site records and measurement documentation
• Assist in preparing forecasts, CVRs, valuations, and variations
• Update and submit projected final accounts
• Liaise with site management to influence and challenge commercial decisions
• Ensure contractual entitlements are protected
• Contribute to risk and opportunity reviews
• Support cash flow and insurance/warranty management
• Mentor and oversee junior QS staff

Requirements of a Quantity Surveyor:

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Working towards professional accreditation (e.g., CIOB)
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts
• Skilled in CVRs, report writing, and negotiation
• Commercial and contractual awareness
• Safety appreciation training (2-day course desirable)
