PSR Solutions are working with an established client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to Join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role with be covering projects across the West Midlands.
Quantity Surveyor Roles and Responsibilities
- Negotiate terms and conditions of subcontracts.
- Process payments for specialist subcontracts and key suppliers.
- Expected to look after 1 scheme or multiple depending on the size of the projects.
- Perform the closeout process, ensuring all contract terms are met and payments are verified.
- Work with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes.
- Review and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs.
- Undertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress.
Quantity Surveyor Requirements
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course
- NEC Contract experience
- Experience working on Civils Projects
- Professional membership of appropriate body
- Good data interrogation skills
- Excellent legal/contractual knowledge
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Valid driving licence
Quantity Surveyor Benefits
- Salary - £40,000 - £60,000
- Project based across West Midlands
- Hybrid working - Dependant on workload
