Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a specialist civil engineering and highways contractor. They have an immediate requirement for a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor, on a circa £30m highways scheme delivering civils, drainage, earthworks, footways and cycleways, running until early 2026.

As the ideal candidate, you will be from a highways background with self-delivery experience, and available to start within a week.

Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:

• Full NEC commercial administration of contracts through to Final Accounts.
• Reviewing progress on site in line with commercials and programme.
• Monitoring and reporting on budgets and costs against programme and producing CVR's.
• Agreeing monthly payment valuations.
• Agreeing instructions, change and processing variations.
• Take-off's and Remeasurement
• Attending client and project progress meetings.

Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor requirements:

• Degree or HNC/HND Quantity Surveying or construction related qualification.
• 5 - 10 years' experience working on highways & civils projects, delivering civils, drainage, earthworks, footways and cycleways.
• Experience managing NEC Option B contracts.
• Experienced in self-delivery of projects from award through to final accounts.
• Well organised, diligent, self-motivated, and proactive.
• Full UK driving license.
