Job title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Manchester
Industry: Refurb & Fire Stopping
Day Rate: £400 - £450 p/d
The position advertised is an excellent opportunity working with a Subcontractor on a freelance basis. This would be ideal for someone interested in working on Earth & Groundworks projects valued from £200k - £4m.
Experience working for a subcontractor and within the civil engineering industry is essential.
The successful candidate will be a diligent and efficient professional, proficient in the delivery of procurement, commercial management, and final accounting.

- Accuracy and efficiency
Duties involved in the role:
- Liaison with clients and project managers
- Commercial acumen with some focus on the contractual aspect of projects
- Measurement, pricing, and negotiation of any variations that arise
- Resolution of project cost discrepancies
- Compilation of subcontract orders to meet approval
- Attendance of pre contract meetings to liaise with professional construction team and ensure completion of planned process
- Continual contact with management in both contracts and site to assist in the efficient delivery of site and office-based tasks
