PSR Solutions are proud to be working in partnership with TSO-UK as their recruitment supply partner. As a business that is already well established within the UK Infrastructure market, TSO are a key partner on a 10-year Alliance contract and of the UK's largest infrastructure upgrade projects.

Key to the successful delivery of these works, is the development and introduction of new technologies and workplace automation by the Innovations Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst, with excellent Power Bi reporting and analysis experience, who has experience working within a team initiating and delivering end-to-end Business Change, Transformation and Automation throughout the project lifecycle.

As the ideal candidate, you will have extensive experience developing reports and analysis using DAX, with hands on experience using the tools to develop the BI logic and then developing reporting solutions in a hands-on way.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to promote and Champion Continuous business improvements, to lead change initiatives, continuous improvement projects and develop products to improve Alliance practices, safety & environment monitoring, and supporting the delivery of KRAs.

PowerBi Business Analyst and development skills and experience:

  • Demonstratable experience working on and delivering business Change, Transformation and Automation projects, from start to finish.
  • Able to develop reports, use DAX fluently, manage reporting data in a SQL database, administer SQL, use power query to interrogate SQL datasets, optimise PBI reports and identify what makes a PBI report sluggish.
  • Able to identify and exploit new innovative processes, techniques, methodologies and equipment for delivery of national programmes in line with compliance standards and corporate governance.
  • Knowledge of change activities and able to demonstrate the tools and techniques implemented in past projects.
  • Experience of practitioner responsibilities of a BA, e.g. where you learn and acquire the skills of how to do the role of the individuals(s) on a job.
  • Be comfortable in a client facing role, and able to work with key stakeholders and build effective relationships, to agree an implementation plan of proposed processes, techniques, methodologies for new innovations.
  • Produce dash boards which articulate the CI program initiatives and projected efficiencies.
  • Provide advice on the implementation of new Continuous Improvement strategies to improve cost, time, safety, and quality measures.
  • Identify opportunities which will enhance the Alliance, leading the promotion and sharing of best practices between Alliances and programmes.
  • Implement metrics to demonstrate the value-add CI is bringing to the alliance.

PowerBi Business Analyst requirements:

  • Programme management and delivery qualification i.e MSP, APM, AGILE.
  • Understanding of Information & Data governance and master data management.
  • Have experience of reporting and developing Power BI Dashboards.
  • Strong appreciation of meta data and its application in automation.
  • Ability to pitch and develop ideas and requirements in small groups or in larger workshops.
  • Strong appreciation of the business, product, and data lifecycle and how information assets and data are interacted upon.
  • Benefits analysis and management, experienced in delivering efficiencies, user story development, requirements, and specification definition.
  • Solution & product development including Microsoft Power Platform PowerApps.
  • Solution delivery/implementation and service transition.
  • Business process automation.
  • Communication at all levels of the business.

PowerBi Business Analyst Benefits:

  • Long term contract with circa 6 years of innovation and development planned.
  • £400 - £430 per day (inside ir35), with 1 months' notice if desired.
  • Remote working, with some travel as required.
