Your Next Company

As one of the Midlands largest groundwork companies my client have achieved an annual turnover in 2017 of circa £55m.

With work across the whole of the Midlands the company specialise in Groundworks, Earthworks, Piling, Foundations and specialist Civil Engineering projects.

Having successfully established a reputation within the industry for quality and high levels of productivity the company are now in a position to increase the size of their production teams with the addition of a Contracts Manager to the group.

Your Job

My client currently require a Contracts Manager to look after their growing portfolio of work across the midlands with over 45 live projects currently in action.

As Contracts Manager you will,
  • Co-ordinate and control individual contracts from contract award to satisfactory resolution of final accounts.
  • Promote the company positively to customers.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the required technical standard.
  • Liaise and coordination of the contract requirements of the company's customers.
  • Organise all plant, equipment, materials and necessary resources to site to meet the contract requirements.
  • Control labour under your supervision.
  • Control and monitor any sub-contractors under your supervision.
  • Ensure sufficient information is provided to sub-contractors for them to carry out their duties effectively and safely.
  • Attend regular project/production/resourcing meetings to provide site reports and forward planning.

Your Skills
  • Ideally you will hold a degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management but this is not essential
  • You will have significant experience overseeing ground engineering projects.
  • CSCS Card - essential
  • SMSTS or equivalent
  • Appointed person / lift supervisor for crane operations
  • Full UK Driving License
