Due to continued growth, a significant increase in the value of projects and our forward order workload, we are now looking to recruit a Contracts Manager whom will be responsible for delivering all aspects of UK contracts. The role will provide direct support to the Operations Manager.

This will be successfully achieved through effective management and servicing associated clients with the focus upon safety, maintaining net margins and an elevated level of client and staff satisfaction, whilst liaising closely with the Operations Manager in providing weekly project progress reporting.

Delivery of Project deadlines in a safe and timely manner, whilst maintaining an elevated
level of Client satisfaction. To direct all affairs with a hands-on approach to the day-to-day activities of your Projects.
To develop and implement plans for the success of your projects, ensuring that goals are either achieved or bettered with an emphasis upon service delivery, therefore effectively managing all project activities to completion.
To act as a focal point and leader for the client, steering and guiding projects. Working with the commercial team to ensure effective cash flow management, and producing accurate reports on time.
  • To establish and direct regular meetings with the client to discuss progress.
  • To liaise with other Senior Managers with regard to operating policies and project
  • deliverables.
  • Report to the Operations Manager on ongoing issues keeping him informed of any potential
  • project problems that could affect the business.
  • The Person
  • Must live within a one hour commute of our Head Office in Hemel Hempstead.
  • To have a proven track record in a hands-on leadership / management role within the Piling
  • and or RC Sector.
  • To have run Projects with a diplomatic and pragmatic approach but also with a hands-on
  • attitude to clients, sub-contractors and people management.
  • To have experience of a variety of projects and clients
  • Must possess an excellent understanding of the contracting process both technically and
  • commercially.
  • Good levels of experience at both pre and post contract stage would be a benefit.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being able to relate to
  • people at all levels in an organisation and to establish and maintain respect both
  • professionally and personally.
  • Should be robust and resilient, possessing drive, determination and natural enthusiasm as
  • well as being a team player.
  • Must have excellent time management skills, being able to effectively prioritise against
  • deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Open to new ideas, not set in their ways, able to think laterally.
  • A balanced approach to relationships with colleagues, staff, clients and suppliers alike.
  • Forceful and persuasive but able to listen and communicate effectively.
  • Must be loyal to the company and the Group.
  • Ability to use Autocad.
  • Ability to produce detailed programmes using Asta Project.
