Job description

As Contracts Supervisor you will be required to ensure sites are properly managed on a day to day basis, including site set-up, ensuring the RAMS are being correctly followed and that all site records are up to date and properly maintained.
* Visit each contract prior to the agreed start date and ensure all third party preparation works have been completed.
* Prepare a take off of all plant and material requirements before forwarding to administration department for procurement.
* Liaise with the Construction Manager to ensure that all labour is available to meet the agreed contract start date.
* Be present on site at the start of each contract and actively involved, where necessary, to check that the initial line and level of the structures are correct.
* Ensure all site operatives read, understand & sign Macc RAMS, including toolbox talks where the need has been identified.
* Enforce the day to day operational safety of our element of the project site, working with our subcontractors to ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies / procedures.
* Responsibility for record keeping on all sites to allow immediate and accurate assessment of work completed is available as and when requested.
* Responsibility for providing the Construction Manager/QS with relevant information to allow comparisons to be made of actual outputs achieved against those allowed in tender.
* To undertake projects and functions identified, and as may be required, by the Construction Manager.

* The position will necessitate travel appropriate to the needs of the job and contract sites

Essential Skills:
* Hands on site experience in Civil Engineering / Groundworks
* Current Driving Licence
* Current up to date CSCS card
* Ability to work from site drawings
* Have initiative and confidence to solve site issues
* Production and collation of accurate site records
* Knowledge and understanding of current construction Health & Safety legislation
* Implementation and monitoring of project program targets
* Positive approach to customer service / client support
* Good level of English and Maths
* Good communication skills, written and verbal
* Commercially aware
Desirable Skills:
* IT literate - Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel and Outlook).
* 5 day First Aider
* Appointed Person
* Experience in developing and training construction team members (tool box talks etc)
