Design Co ordinator

I have a fantastic opportunity to work for a progressive, successful main building contractor. The company delivers large, new build and refurbishment schemes including commercial offices, Healthcare, retail, education, distribution and logistics, hotels, and leisure.

The business is looking to appoint a Design Coordinator working closely with the Senior Design Manager to support the successful implementation and ongoing management of the design process. Ensuring that the design and procurement of specialist packages are delivered to meet project requirements in line with cost and support to the project delivery teams by providing design input and cost-effective solutions.

Reporting to a Senior Design Manager you will be responsible for the management and delivery of design information in accordance with the agreed design programme and deliverable schedule. You will be responsible for ensuring that our appointed design consultants carry out their duties in line with their appointment. You will be responsible for ensuring that the design is compliant to relevant legislation and technical requirements. 

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following;

• Relevant degree qualification
• Main Contractor experience
• Experience analysing drawings to meet client specifications
• Strong communication skills
• Experience holding client update meetings
• Construction experience including Steel, Cladding and Concrete
• Civil experience and knowledge of Earth Works
• Architectural technicians with at least 2 years of experience of similar projects are encouraged to apply.
