A leading Main Contractor delivering complex infrastructure and construction projects across the UK. Committed to innovation, quality, and sustainable development.
Manage the interface with external or in-house design teams on behalf of the Project Manager.
Represent the design department at internal and external meetings and act as the main point of contact in the absence of the Design Engineer.
Liaise with other departments and project teams to align on design requirements.
Allocate and supervise design tasks within internal teams, ensuring performance standards are met.
Prepare conceptual and detailed designs in compliance with current legislation, standards, and codes.
Review and check the design work of team members and external consultants.
Visit project sites when necessary to ensure alignment between design and site execution.
Maintain design documentation, contribute to pricing, and manage feedback and records.
Support and coach staff, conduct appraisals, and identify training and development needs.
Ensure all work complies with company procedures, health & safety standards, and quality requirements.
Degree in a relevant engineering or construction discipline, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years (with degree) or 10 years (with HND/HNC) construction and design experience.
Strong Design Management skills with the ability to handle complex design and planning issues.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
Valid CSCS card appropriate for site-based work.
Completion (or commitment to complete) industry and company-standard training, including health & safety, leadership, and inclusion modules.
Salary ranging between £80,000 - £110,000
