An exclusive opportunity has arisen for a Building Services Design Manager working on a major M&E package totalling £200m. You will be joining a leading National company who have a high profile presence and are proud of their innovative projects across a number of popular projects currently.

This MEP Design Manager will be part of a strategic team with full involvement from pre-construction, design to delivery. Whilst managing the technical design and coordination of the project you will also ensure the project is completed to the required deadline with the delivery team.

This MEP Design Manager must have experience of working on large MEP installation projects managing the M&E design and its integration within the Build / Construction process.

MEP Design Manager responsibilities:

• Technical evaluation of tender documents (specifications, drawings, ERs, etc.) identifying technical risk and anomalies and creating an action plan to resolve
• Design completion strategy and management of information
• Participate in regular M&E design meetings and chair specific MEP meetings and workshops
• Coordinate design and services including requirements for quotations and approvals, complete documentation and track progress.
• Monitor design documentation and advise on procurement
• Manage design reviews
• Providing technical support to the project team
• Create strategies and innovative ideas to enhance project delivery.
• Managing the MEP design consultants
• Project management

It is crucial that the person in post has a wealth of project management experience and can identify, monitor and deal with design related issues. Whilst building relationships with design partners and delivering the project
