Job Title: Document Controller

Location: Birmingham (with travel to sites around the Midlands)

Working Days: Monday to Friday.

Overview: Our client, a leading construction main company specialising in high-rise multi-room projects, is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join their dynamic team. This role is based in Birmingham with travelling to various sites around the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document Management: Manage and oversee the distribution and organisation of all project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Viewpoint Experience: Utilise Viewpoint software to maintain and control project documents, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with company standards.
  • Security Checks: Set up and manage security protocols for accessing sensitive project information, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Workflow Management: Develop and maintain efficient workflows for document handling processes, streamlining operations and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Site Coordination: Travel to various construction sites around the Midlands to support on-site teams with document control needs, ensuring seamless communication and documentation flow.
  • Quality Control: Regularly review and audit documents to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure documentation meets project requirements and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller in the construction industry, with commercial projects.
  • Proficient in using Viewpoint software for document management.
  • Strong understanding of security protocols and experience in setting up security checks.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to develop and manage efficient work flows.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to various construction sites around the Midlands.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
