Job description

My client is a large, regional principle contractor who has secured a major project in Birmingham

They are looking to appoint a full time Document Controller / Site Secretary on a permanent basis.

The company is a very well established building contractor, who have a great reputation.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the duties of the role would include:-
  • Responsible for all incoming and outgoing correspondence relating to both the design and structure of the project i.e. Drawing Transmittals, IRS' (Information Request Schedules).
  • Management of the 4Projects System - ensuring that all information is up to date
  • Distribution of such drawings to subcontractors on a daily basis.
  • General Office duties including: E-mail, Scanning, Answering telephone, Greeting site visitors, Keeping all folders up to date and handling Post.
  • Making sure the site ran smoothly from an administrative perspective


Skills Required
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Document Control process at operational level within a similar environment is vital.
  • Knowledge and experience of using 4Projects at operational level is essential.
  • You must be IT literate - Office 365 preferable.
  • Ability to prioritise workload when managing multiple contracts / tasks.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure to meet project targets.
  • Great attention to detail
