Position Overview: As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the project planning and bid proposal process. You will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing comprehensive estimates, and collaborating with the project management and sales teams to secure new contracts. Your attention to detail, industry knowledge, and strong analytical skills will be essential in ensuring the financial success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and architectural drawings to understand project requirements.
• Conduct material take-offs and calculate quantities required for drylining and plastering projects.
• Collaborate with suppliers to obtain accurate pricing for materials and negotiate competitive rates.
• Analyse labour and equipment costs based on project scope and timeline.
• Prepare detailed and accurate project estimates, considering all relevant cost factors.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations as needed.
• Coordinate with project managers and sales teams to provide insights during the bidding process.
• Maintain a database of historical cost data for reference in future estimates.
• Monitor industry trends and changes in materials or labour costs that may impact project estimates.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on drylining and plastering.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques related to drylining and plastering.
• Proficiency in using estimation software and tools.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Relevant certifications or degree in construction management, quantity surveying, or related field is a plus.
