Job description

My client who is a major projects main contractor are now looking for an experienced Facades Package Manager.

They are one of the biggest players in the London marketplace taking on projects up to £400million in value, right down to smaller schemes around the £30million mark.

The ideal candidate would be someone from a varied background, either from a main contractor, facades sub-contractor, consultancy or manufacturer.

My client would look at candidates from either a front end design/technical position, or someone from an operational background with a good understanding of design.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Support the preconstruction and construction teams in all aspects of facade engineering, including design development, procurement and construction

Liaise with Directors to assess their needs and necessary resourcing to deliver their project

Ensuring good quality technical support in areas such as tender stage, where innovation in design or construction methodology will increase the completeness of the bid

Evaluating potential outcomes to deliver robust design conclusions with risk factors highlighted and mitigated where possible

Manufacture both internally and externally is manageable through good supplier relationships

Payment of contractors in accordance with agreed contract terms and conditions

Liaising with all relevant staff and making sure the correct sequence for installation

For the right candidate my client would look to pay £80k to £90k plus a generous package.

If you are working for any of the above and want to progress your career with a main contractor, look no further.

This role is also an excellent opportunity for a facades specialist that has been working abroad for a while, now looking to come back to the UK.
