Position: Graduate Site Engineer

Salary: £22,500 - £27,500 + Car allowance + Pension + Health

My client is seeking a Graduate Site Engineer. The organisation is a high profile national main building contractor who has a reputation in delivering high quality schemes ranging from £10M to £100M in value. The company carry out work across all sectors; however their reputation is strong in the sectors of Distribution, Commercial and Retail.

The company undertakes an array of Design & Build projects from Education, Student Accommodation, Office Developments and large Industrial Schemes.

Candidates should be looking for opportunities to advance their careers on major projects and have an ambition to advance into Site Management/Pre-Construction Design/Planning.

Experience in any of the following key sectors would be an advantage: commercial, retail and industrial.



Duties:
  • Setting out levelling and surveying the site.
  • Checking drawings and quantities and ensuring that the calculations are accurate.
  • Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant for use in the construction.
  • Associated with planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Associated with day-to-day management of the site, including the site labour force and monitoring the work of any subcontractors.
  • Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site.
  • Maintaining excellent and effective working relationships with the customer and his representations/advisors.
  • Implementing company strategy and policies for sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental,
  • Ensuring that the project works comply with the requirements of the contract specification and drawings and maintaining accurate records.
