Rate: £300 - £400 per day

Location: Birmingham

Start Date: As soon as possible

Reporting to: Project Lead

The HSEQ Manager role

I'm working with a large main contractor who, through continuous growth are looking to build on their current HSEQ team for a new £25Million civils project in Birmingham. The client are a leader in multiple civil engineering disciplines and are self-delivering on this project. This is a long-term contract role (outside IR35) which will see the right candidate through to 2027. The right HSEQ Manager will be working with a solid team which will give you the best platform to do your work best work.

Responsibilities of the HSEQ Manager

• Work closely with site management teams and lead the HSEQ team in continually improving our Business Management Systems.
• Assist the site management teams in reviewing relevant documentation prior to commencement on site and as the works progress.
• Carry out site inspections with site teams, identify initiatives to improve performance and assist in addressing opportunities for improvement.
• Consult with the site teams and others to identify significant areas of risk, develop and document measures to control and reduce risks to an acceptable level.
• Coordinate learning reviews, produce relevant reports, advise and implement applicable recommendations.
• Attend monthly framework sessions with the client to review progress and areas for continual improvement.
• Produce periodic framework HSEQ reports as required and submit to relevant stakeholders.

The Right HSEQ Manager will have

• a History of work within a Civil Engineering environment
• Background of work in Health & Safety
• IOSH tech or NEBOSH qualification
• Experience in Temporary works with Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor ticket (desirable)
• Driving Licence
