Position: Intermediate Site Engineer

Salary: £25,000 - 35,000 + Car / Car allowance + Pension + Health

Region: Midlands

My client is seeking an Intermediate Site Engineer with approx. 2 years experience, someone who is looking to develop their career as a Site Engineer. The organisation is a high profile regional midlands main building contractor who has a reputation in delivering high quality schemes ranging from £10M to £80M in value. The company carry out work across all sectors; however, their reputation is strong in the sectors of Health, Distribution, Leisure, Commercial, Education & Retail.

The company undertakes an array of Design & Build projects from Education, Student Accommodation, Office Developments and large Industrial Schemes.

They are seeking Site Engineers with a Building background,

Candidates should have a minimum of 18 months industry experience, and looking for opportunities to advance their careers on major projects and have an ambition to advance into Senior Engineering.

Experience in any of the following key sectors would be an advantage: commercial, health, education and industrial.

  • Setting out levelling and surveying the site.
  • Checking drawings and quantities and ensuring that the calculations are accurate.
  • Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant for use in the construction.
  • Associated with planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Associated with day-to-day management of the site, including the site labour force and monitoring the work of any subcontractors.
  • Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site.
  • Maintaining excellent and effective working relationships with the customer and his representations/advisors.
  • Implementing company strategy and policies for sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Development.
  • Ensuring that the project works comply with the requirements of the contract specification and drawings and maintaining accurate records.
