Labourer/ Cat 1 driver

Job Title: Labourer (Category C1 Driver) - Long-Term Contract

Location: Barnsley and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: £17.00 - £19.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Labourer to join our team for a long-term social housing project based in Barnsley. The ideal candidate will have a valid CSCS card, a Category C1 driving licence, and be willing to travel between various sites. This is a stable and ongoing opportunity with consistent work and competitive pay.

Key Responsibilities:

• General labouring duties on residential social housing properties

• Assisting tradespersons as required

• Site preparation and clearance

• Handling materials and deliveries

• Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed at all times

• Driving a company-provided Category C1 vehicle to and from job sites

Requirements:

• Valid CSCS card - essential

• Category C1 driving licence - essential (required to operate a company van)

• Previous labouring experience, ideally within the social housing or construction sector

• Good physical fitness and stamina

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Willingness to travel between sites as required (van and fuel provided)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
