Job description

Are you a Site Manager and have been the number 1 on projects for 5 or more years? Are you looking to work nationwide? If so, this position may be ideal for you!



PSR Solutions are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to work with one of our clients. Our client is a nationwide contractor who have recently opened a new office in Birmingham. They are well established within Europe, with offices in Germany, Poland, Austria and Holland, among others. From their Birmingham office, they turned over £40m in 2018, with the plan to increase to £100m over the next 5 years. Typically, they build Offices, Warehouses and Car Parks.



The initial project will be based in Birmingham, with future projects covering Nationwide. The project is an office block and technical centre with a value of around £40m. The project will last for around 18 months.



The successful candidate will have:
  • Experience working for a Main Contractor, as a Site Manager for at least 5 years
  • Experience working on a site from start to finish, overseeing each aspect of the build project
  • A good understanding of both steel frames and pre-cast concrete
  • A keen interest in the commercial side, including procurement and cost reporting
  • An understanding of both NEC & JCT forms of contract
  • A degree within construction (desirable)
  • CSCS Card
  • SMSTS
  • Driving Licence




Duties:
  • To ensure the scheme is delivered within the budget
  • Produce all package scopes and sub-contractor package letting
  • Ensuring project spend is controlled, maintained and monitored
  • Responsible for ensuring that the works are executed to meet project and contract requirements
  • Responsible for the implementation of Health & Safety
  • Liaise with both the internal and external design team during design development
  • Producing, updating and monitoring the construction programme
  • Co-ordinating all client and sub-contractor meetings
  • All project related reporting both internally and externally
