Role: Quantity Surveyor

Reporting to: Commercial Director

Location: Wolvey

Package: Variable (depending on experience)

The Business

My clients Telecoms business is a leading multi-disciplined organisation capable of carrying out all aspects of the infrastructure build for the mobile and fixed line telecommunications industry. Innovation is at the heart of our approach to our client's requirements; from a single element of network development through to a fully managed network service, we provide a full turnkey solution.

Responsibilities

  • To lead the operational delivery and programme management of design and build activities across the business
  • Awareness of the programme status of multiple telecoms site design and build instructions, from project inception to commercial close out
  • To be the point of escalation and resolution of all design and build activities
  • To be highly visible within the business and the client on a daily basis
  • To attend internal and external meetings, and conference calls as required to provide solutions and progress on site delivery
  • To escalate to the Business Director on any [potential] issues relating to safe and SLA delivery of programme
  • To ensure every instruction is planned efficiently and effectively to ensure 100% completion on planned activities
  • To ensure the operational team adheres to business process, and training and development is facilitated across the team to ensure levels of competence are achieved and maintained
  • To ensure the business and client systems are updated daily and reporting is produced to meet internal and external requirements
  • To ensure operational teams are accountable and proactively close out the commercial requirements of all billable milestones
  • To create a collaborative and positive working environment, promoting safety, quality, and the delivery of excellence
  • Actively contributes to business strategy and positively engages with existing and potential clientele to assist the business in securing future work

The Right Candidate

My client are looking for an individual with passion, strong leadership capabilities and a commitment for delivering excellence in a projects environment, with a background in Telecoms Civil Engineering or Construction setting. You will also be able to;

  • Demonstrate achievements of meeting challenging project and programme deadlines
  • Manage people and sub-contractors in dynamic project environment
