Our client is one of the UK's leading privately owned infrastructure specialists and Main Contractors, delivering projects and frameworks across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 2-4 years' experience within civil engineering design / delivery, looking to move into move into a preconstruction office based role, for a company with an excellent training and mentoring reputation.
This role can be based at either their Berkshire, Hertfordshire or London office.
Preconstruction Assistant roles and responsibilities:
- Assist Preconstruction manager with reviewing the clients work scope and designs, identifying design issues and risks.
- Arranging pre-tender surveys and trial holes.
- Work with the Preconstruction Manager and delivery team to develop the project programme.
- Assist in identifying and organising any land permissions and consents requirements.
- Collating subcontractor services information packs, and assisting with putting the final tender pack together.
Preconstruction Assistant requirements:
- Previous experience in design and project delivery within the Civil Engineering sector.
- Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent qualification and experience.
- Understanding of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, and Programme & Risk Management.
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
