We're currently looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale timber frame housing development in Derbyshire. This is a long-term freelance opportunity working with a respected housebuilder on a well-run, high-volume residential site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Site Manager with daily operations and build progress

• Coordinating trades and subcontractors to ensure quality and efficiency

• Enforcing site health and safety standards

• Supporting with inspections, snagging, and quality control

• Maintaining accurate site records and reports

• Communicating with suppliers and ensuring timely deliveries

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar Assistant Site Manager role on residential developments

• Strong working knowledge of timber frame construction

• Valid SMSTS or SSSTS

• CSCS card

• First Aid (desirable)

• Organised, proactive, and confident in managing multiple trades on site
