The Role: Project Engineer
As part of the Engineering function in the Severn Trent Water Region, you will coordinate and manage internal support functions and sub-contract supply chain partners for a multi-disciplined portfolio of work with Severn Trent Water.
You will play a key role in projects ranging from £1m to £30m, supporting project delivery teams by managing concept development and detailed design solutions for water and waste water infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
ECI Phase:
- Attend site and client meetings.
- Coordinate design development with the Project Manager.
- Participate in Value Engineering, Risk & Opportunity assessments, and feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with the Estimating Team throughout project phases.
- Engage with stakeholders and assist in writing Invitations to Tender (ITTs).
Detailed Design Phase:
- Coordinate multidisciplinary supply chain and designers.
- Issue draft drawings and attend design meetings.
- Manage document control using platforms like Asite and SharePoint.
Construction Phase:
- Facilitate the transition from design to project delivery.
- Input into procurement schedules and coordinate technical queries.
- Ensure teams are prepared for handover requirements and commissioning plans.
About You
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, and Risk Management.
- Experience with Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software.
- Experience in Clean or Waste Water Infrastructure
- Proficiency in Office 365 and familiarity with CAD software.
- CSCS Manager's Card.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Relevant CSCS Card (Technical Supervisor, Supervisory, or Manager).
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- SSSTS / SMSTS certification.
