Role: Site Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Car/Allowance + Package (dependent on experience)

Location: Lichfield

Start Date: As soon as possible

Reporting to: Project Manager

The Site Engineer role

I'm working with a well-established civil engineering contractor who work across the Midlands region. The business have an ethos of growing and developing talent. In working with this business you'll develop in your career as a Site Engineer who before progressing into a management role or further your career into a more senior Site Engineer looking to continue plying their trade and progressing through the engineering pathway, either way the business will be there to guide you and mentor you through each stage in your career, all whilst working on various infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to join a business who can offer development and realistic progression.

The right Site Engineer for this business will be someone who's worked either for a main contractor or sub contractor on a civil engineering project before, they could have experience in working on roads, highways, drainage, earthworks or other associated infrastructure

As a Site Engineer you'll have

• Relevant HND/Degree in a Construction/Civil Engineering field
• Experience on working on civil engineering projects
• First Aid at Work
• SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)
• Track record of working on similar projects listed above
• A background in any civil engineering discipline

Some of the responsibilities of the Site Engineer include

• Setting out for project
• Interpret and execute from construction drawings
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors
• Keep accurate site records and site diaries
• Record ordering of plant and materials
• Supervise and direct subcontractors
• Produce permits, risk assessments, method statements, work package plans and task briefings
• Other Site Engineer related activities
