***Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) - Required for Tier 1 Contractor***

Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) Role:
To co-ordinate all mechanical engineering functions in pre & post contract award and achieve a successful outcome technically, commercially to the clients' requirements on the project.
Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) Responsibilities:
- To comply with the company Process Document
To comply with company Health, Safety & Environmental Systems
- Technically vet all procurement packages.
- Co-ordinate the services for their proper integration into the Treatment works and liaise with other disciplines.
- Oversee the production of all drawings including plant and sub-contract layouts to ensure co-ordination.
- Provide support to the Project Quantity Surveyor on commercial matters.
- Undertake & manage all labour/direct material matters.
- Undertake a regular audit of the Productivity Scheme & ensure the same is completed with the Foreman/Site Agent.
- Maintain accurate records of labour and material elements used in the prefabricated sections of the project.
- Provide support to the Site Agent/ general foreman on any installation matters.
- With the Site Manager carry out regular Sub-Contract Project Reviews to plan, progress and monitor installations.
- Represent the company on any internal and external issues.

- Overall responsibility for working with our respective designer and suppliers to successfully deliver all mechanical requirements across a project portfolio.
- Work with commercial team to procure all off and on site manufactured mechanical requirements particularly focusing on offsite assembly and modularisation.
- Closely monitor the progress of off and onsite activities to ensure delivery against agreed programmes and budgets.
- Contribute to a positive team culture and environment on your projects to support improved wellbeing and performance.
- Responsible for undertaking factory inspections and quality audits and ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction for all mechanical installations.
Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) Requirements:
- Possess relevant CSCS card.
- SMSTS Qualification, SSSTS Minimum.
- Ideally the successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years working within in a similar role
- Be Diploma or Degree qualified
- Technical knowledge of Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Water & Wastewater Operations.
- Industry experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills who can multi-task and consistently meet challenging deadlines.
- Commercially astute.
- Experience of both pre-production and production mechanical project engineering desirable. Has an appreciation of MMC, Lean Construction, Agile Programme Management, Production Thinking and other techniques that assure programme, cost and quality performance.
- Programme focused with an ability to plan and organise resources both off and on site to deliver on time and in full.
- First Aid at work
- Appropriate IT skills including the use of company software packages.
- Communicates with colleagues and clients in a warm and persuasive way both formally and informally. Alters style and method to suit audience
