Job Title: Project Manager
Area of business: Water - Clean and Waste Water
Location: Bristol & South West
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance + Comprehensive Package
My client are a leading multi-disciplined infrastructure provider, as a business they turn over in excess of £400 Million and are involved in projects from building and highways, to large-scale water networks and treatment plants. They have nationwide coverage from 12 regional offices and are a leading employer who take pride in developing and nurturing their workforce.
A new opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager with a Civil Engineering background, experienced in delivering schemes of varying sizes predominately to the Water Industry in sewage and clean water successfully.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of project delivery including; Programme, Financial Positions, HSEQ performance and progress for all schemes managed.
- Solid understanding of NEC 3 contract conditions and demonstrably successful commercial awareness.
- Ensuring that all projects are delivered in accordance with current Health & Safety regulations, inc of CDM, & Environmental legislation.
- Review/assessment of in-house/subcontractor RAMS, Process Impact Assessments and Environmental legislation.
- Ensuring compliance with all company safety, environmental and quality systems.
- To manage the project team ensuring that each member has a clear set of objectives. To develop and motivate all team members.
- Developing a detailed programme, partnering the project Planner, to deliver the project to key deliverable milestones.
- Co-ordinate and with all key stakeholder, colleagues, subcontractors and site teams in an effective manner.
- Attending internal and external review and progress meetings.
The right candidate - ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent
- H&S qualifications
- IOSH or CITB 5 Day Site Safety Management (SMSTS),
- CSCS card
- Experience of working within the water industry (Clean & Waste)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines
- Able to work in under pressure in a busy environment
