Job description

My client is a global business with a strong track record of delivering construction and engineering projects to the construction industry. The company carry out work across all sectors. With a projected turnover in their North West region of £65million this year with 80% already secure, they have ambitious growth plans and an opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join their retail team in the North West.

As Project Manager, you will report into the Senior Project Manager/Contracts Manager and successfully lead and manage single or multiple projects, ensuring project delivery fully satisfies customer and company requirements and to contribute to the growth of the business by building relationships, maximising repeat business and actively seeking market opportunities.

Responsibilities include;

  • Overall responsibility for delivery and quality in line with customer and company expectations.
  • Ensures the build ability of the project.
  • Manages the design process and offers value engineering solutions.
  • Responsible for the master programme and forecasting.
  • Understands the status of the project at all times and escalates any significant delivery risks.
  • Dispute resolution on site.
  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting internally and to the client.
  • Responsible for decision making on site that may have a commercial impact.
  • To ensure full compliance with all Company policies and ISO accreditations.
  • Ensure our health, safety, environment and quality standards, operating processes, company policies and all legislative requirements are understood, implemented and adhered to throughout the team at all times.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in Project Management, SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS
  • Experience working in the Retail Banking environment would be advantageous
  • Must be able to take full accountability for your role, actions, judgements and decisions
  • Must be organised and able to prioritise own work to deliver on time through managing time effectively
  • Must be able to use a range of communication skills and adapt these as necessary
  • Must be able to motivate a team to achieve common goal
