Role: Project Manager

Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Location: Huntingdon

Package: £60,000 - £65,000 + Car Allowance+ Pension + Heathcare

The Company

My client is a leading family-owned, top 100 Civil Engineering Company, who are recognised across the UK with a large geographical spread of works. As a company, my client are involved in a variety of Civil Engineering disciplines from Highways and Bridges to Utilities and Energy. They are an established force in their own right, but a business that have ambitious growth plans in the coming years.

They are seeking a Project Manager to join their already talented team. The right candidate is someone who is competent and comfortable in running jobs up to £15Million in value and who can start and finish a project with confidence in their output. As a Project Manager, you will be able to direct and monitor a project, manage subcontractors and the site team. You will be a good communicator with both client and colleagues. A breakdown of key competencies are as below.

Competencies:-

  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in a similar Civils/Infrastructure role.
  • Knowledge civil engineering and construction management processes, systems and standards.
  • Previous project experience working on S278, Footbridges or Structures, Utilities.
  • Excellent Communicator / interfacing skills.
  • Sound Commercial Acumen (including budget management and cost/waste control).
  • Degree qualified or HNC and above.
  • SMSTS
  • Previous work as Project Manager running projects at and above £15Million is advantageous
  • Experience of managing the entire site, including Site Agents, Engineers and Commercial team members.
  • Management and control of all site staff.

Responsibilities:-

  • Overseeing the site team.
  • Overseeing the sub-contractors.
  • Management of the overall site from start to finish of the project.
  • Managing and running the update meetings with the Contracts Manager and Client Team.
  • Inclusion in the pre-construction side of the project.
  • Manage and Monitor Health & Safety.
